
Get to Know Us
Hallie is a product of the NYC public school system. She attended elementary school and middle school in Brooklyn, New York and continued on to attend Stuyvesant High School. She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and received her MSEd from New York University. She taught elementary school (Grades 3-5) in NYC for 14 years. Hallie has been tutoring students of all ages for 18 years. During the Covid 19 Pandemic, Hallie realized the need for more qualified full time tutors. She founded Saltz of the Earth Tutoring with the intention of helping students of all ages build confidence in themselves to succeed in school.

Morgan Millstein
Tutor
Morgan Millstein is a PhD student at Ferkauf Graduate School of School of Psychology, Yeshiva University. She graduated from the University of Michigan with honors in the engaged liberal arts. She majored in psychology and minored in entrepreneurship. She has experience tutoring in grades K-12. Through personalized study-skills coaching, subject enrichment, and mentorship in confidence building, she helps learners strengthen their academic foundation and explore their interests. She also focuses on cultivating healthy habits—supporting students in balancing school, extracurriculars, and overall well-being—so they can grow both in and out of the classroom. In her free time, Morgan loves to work for the nonprofit she cofounded, play tennis, scrapbook, travel, read, and hang out with her friends and family.
Karen Li
Tutor
Karen is a dedicated teacher with a strong passion for helping students build confidence and achieve academic success. She is experienced with diverse learners and specializes in making challenging concepts understandable through clear explanations, engaging activities, and strategies tailored to each child’s unique needs. With an undergraduate background in Mathematics and Childhood Education, she brings a strong foundation in core standards and helping students build solid math skills through clear instruction. She believes in creating a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel supported and inspired to do their best. Karen is committed to helping every student grow, while focusing on developing foundational skills across subjects and fostering a genuine love of learning.

Hayley Davis
Tutor
Hayley is a dedicated educator dual certified in both General Education and Special Education, with over fourteen years of teaching experience. She currently teaches fourth grade, where she focuses on fostering a supportive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that meets the diverse needs of all learners. In addition to her classroom teaching, she has extensive tutoring experience, providing individualized instruction that helps students build confidence, master core skills, and reach their academic goals. Hayley’s passion for education is rooted in helping every child discover their strengths and achieve success through meaningful, differentiated learning experiences.
Eric Rubinstein
Tutor
With over 13 years of experience teaching high school math in New York City, Eric brings energy, patience, and a love of numbers to every lesson. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from SUNY Albany and a Master’s in Mathematics Education from CUNY Brooklyn College. Eric is passionate about helping students gain confidence, think critically, and discover how math connects to everyday life.

Jordyn is a thoughtful educator dual certified in General Education and Special Education, with a passion for building meaningful partnerships with students and families across Manhattan. She earned her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, her MSEd from the Harvard Graduate School of Education with a focus on social-emotional learning, and most recently her MSEd in Educational Leadership from Hunter College. Over the years, Jordyn has tutored students across elementary and middle school, tailoring her approach to each student's individual needs and goals. She is committed to supporting the whole child and takes pride in celebrating every step of student growth, big and small.
Alexa
Tutor
Alexa is a passionate teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience and a strong dedication to pushing students to deepen their knowledge and extend their thinking. She has extensive experience working with a wide range of learners, including general education students, students with special needs, and those in gifted and talented or enrichment programs. Alexa is skilled at differentiating instruction to meet each student’s unique needs, whether that means providing targeted support, implementing individualized strategies, or offering advanced challenges to extend learning.
She prides herself on being clear and concise, helping students organize their critical thinking and apply these skills across all academic areas. With a master’s degree in both general and special education from Fordham University, she brings a strong foundation in New York State standards for mathematics and English Language Arts. Alexa is committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where every student feels supported, challenged, and capable of success. She believes in making learning clear, applicable to real life, engaging, and fun.

Aliana
Tutor
As a lifelong New Yorker, Aliana is familiar with the NYC school system as both a student and educator. After attending public schools in Manhattan for elementary and middle school, Aliana graduated from the Bronx High School of Science. She earned her undergraduate degree in Human Development with a minor in Human Rights from Binghamton University. Learning about human rights through literature, research, and practice opened Aliana’s eyes to the fundamental role that a quality early education plays in building an equitable society. She then earned her MSEd from Hunter College, certifying her to teach both childhood and special education for Grades 1-6. Aliana is passionate about individualizing curriculum to provide creative, supportive, and fun lessons in which students can build their skills and their confidence to use those skills with independence. Aliana’s practice cultivates a learning environment in which students feel brave to try new strategies, take learning risks, and learn from their mistakes.
